The panel addresses MHTP and the Cultural Perspective through topics including: What about music is culturally influenced? How does a CMP play for patients from another country or culture?   7. Plenary: Self Care: Easy Self-Care: Revitalizing with Sound: Mary O’Malley, MD, PhD, Attending Psychiatrist Jersey Shore Medical Center. This session will help you recognize symptoms of burnout (compassion fatigue and its effects on your brain and health). It will also explore the role of ‘soul’ and the meaning and importance of engagement and sacred relationship in healing and recovery. The session explores some easy practices to shift your perspective, manage your moods, and buffer stress. 

  8. Science Keynote: How Love Connects Us: The Science of Energetic Interconnectivity, Rollin McCraty, PhD, Director of Research at the HeartMath Institute. Discussion of new understandings of how the heart and brain interact in a dynamic relationship that impacts many aspects of mental and emotional experience.

  9. Plenary: Self Care: Music and Movement for Transformation; Rachel Allen, CMP, E-RYT 200. How are you these days? With so many challenges we all could use some support to increase our capacity for resilience. This session will include movement and sound practices that can be integrated into your daily life if you so choose.
